Infinergy proposed an extension to the existing wind energy development on Loch Luichart Estate, north west of Garve in the Scottish Highlands. The proposal comprised of a development of 9 turbines with an installed generating capacity of 3.6MW each, giving a total installed capacity of 32.4MW.  Infinergy submitted the planning application and supporting documentation in April 2019, which can be viewed here.  The project, revised to 5 turbines was consented at the end of 2019.  As the grid connection was several years away, and the turbine type consented is no longer readily available in the market, Infinergy is now looking to increase the potential of the site by seeking to use larger turbines with bigger installed capacity.  An application to increase tip heights from 133m to 149.9m was submitted in June 2021. All application documents can be found here.  Online consultation information can be found here.
