Infinergy is proposing an extension to the existing wind energy development on Loch Luichart Estate, north west of Garve in the Scottish Highlands. The proposal comprises of a development of 9 turbines with an installed generating capacity of 3.6MW each, giving a total installed capacity of 32.4MW. Highland Council is the local planning authority for this proposed extension. Infinergy submitted the planning application and supporting documentation to them in April 2019, which can be viewed here. The project was consented at the end of 2019. As the grid connection is several years away, and the turbine type consented is no longer available in the market, Infinergy is now looking to increase the potential of the site by seeking to use larger turbines with bigger installed capacity. Documents will all be available during the planning process here. Online consultation information can be found here.
